Stirling City Hotel & Country Store
Built in 1903, this rustic 100 year old building is the Stirling City Hotel located at
16975 Skyway. Owned by Charlotte Hilgeman, the hotel today is a popular
Bed & Breakfast, restaurant, and country store (variety of can foods, snacks, soda pop, beer,
and ice cream).
The Hotel has an extensive history having served as Community Hall, an indoor
Roller Skating Rink, a Boarding House, and an Antique Shop.
It has been featured in Sunset magazine (September 1988) and recently
used by Northwest Enterprises in the filming of "The Territorial Marshall"
to be aired on Cable TV.
Charlotte has each of the rooms individually decorated with family heirlooms and other
collected antiques giving the rooms a personal touch. Many other antiques
are displayed in the hotel, including the bar from a San Francisco restaurant.

Many of Charlotte's recipes are featured in the Best of the Best State Cookbook series,
or you can purchase the cookbooks that she has produced at the hotel, and
