Stirling City Museum
On February 28, 2002 Title for three buildings, and approximately half-acre of land,
was passed to the Stirling City Historical Society by the State of California. It was formerly
used by the California Department of Forestry (CDF) which has a large new facility just
behind the Museum/Library complex. The buildings for several months were repaired,
remodeled, and landscaped by volunteers.
The Museum/Library complex was dedicated August 16, 2003, as part
of town's 100 year celebration.
Located at 16993 Skyway, this two-story building also houses the office of the Historical Society. Next door is the Library. Behind the main buildings is a storage and Workshop building.
Your donations of material, artifacts, labor of love, etc. to this new exciting addition to Stirling City to preserve its history and heritage are welcomed and will be greatly appreciated. Call (530) 873-1598 for more information.
